Meet the mother-and-daughter duo behind Cafe Elena.

to yours.
Elena’s love for cooking began when she was just ten years old. After graduating from culinary college, she began her professional career at the Cosmos Hotel in Moscow, Russia. Built in July 1979 to welcome international visitors ahead of the Olympic Games, the hotel introduced her to chefs and culinary traditions from around the world.
By the 1990s, Elena had developed an extensive collection of her own recipes through her work with international chefs. After more than 35 years as a professional chef and baker in a variety of restaurants, she moved to the United States.
The pastries and dishes she created throughout her career inspired her to open her own restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. Together with her daughter Lana, she opened Cafe Elena in 2020, bringing those years of experience to a welcoming family table. Her cooking is healthy and light, with a focus on letting the flavors of each creation shine.
